Non surgical heart ablation

Non-surgical heart ablation is used for various sorts of heart arrhythmias, Non surgical heart ablation is done in a special lab called as electrophysiology laboratory. A special machine focuses energy through the catheter to small regions of the heart muscle that are responsible for the abnormal heart rhythm. This energy cut off the pathway of the irregular rhythm. Surgical heart ablation

In surgical heart ablation, patient is administered general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation is used, depending on the case to case basis. During minimally invasive heart ablation surgery procedure, the doctor views the external surface of the heart through an endoscope. Specialized apparatus are used to find out the areas requiring ablation and to make the lines of conduction block. Unlike the traditional heart surgery, in a surgical heart ablation, there is no big chest wall opening, and the heart is not stopped from functioning. The Maze process for heart ablation needs a cut along the breast bone. The slit may be of conventional length, or in a few cases, minimally invasive. The heart is stopped from functioning in this procedure.
