How to apply Katherine Heigl Smokey Eye Makeup:
You first need to work on removing the creases on your eye lid. Sometimes oil tends to stick onto them and you need to either use a Concealer or you could even do using a MAC Primer since both produce the same effect. Use a slanted eye shadow brush to apply Concealer / Primer all over the eye lid. Be liberal in the use of Concealer and Primer.
You then need to use the eye shadow brush; the big one that is; start applying the Bronze / Copper Light Eye shadow very smoothly on the outer corner of your upper eyelid. This may sound difficult but it is not. But remember not to apply it very dark, slowly increase the tone of your Bronze / Copper Light Eye shadow.
You can then start smudging this is the most important part about the Katherine Heigl Smokey Eye Makeup. Blending and Smudging are absolutely necessary for any Smokey Eye.
Take the Bronze / Copper dark Eye shadow next and apply it the same way as the Bronze / Copper Light Eye shadow, but on a slightly darker tone. Smudge as you go since if you don’t happen to smudge your eyes might just start looking like a raccoon.
Do not move very much out of the eye zone, see to it that the makeup doesn’t fall much onto your nose and eye sockets since the effects are going to be disastrous. However, after some practice this can be taken care of.
You can now use your powdery eye liner and use it all along your upper eye lid and cover only three fourths of your lower lid. You need to use a smudge cloth / cotton bud / sponge to do the smudging now. Do not use your finger since it will spread more than it’s supposed to.
Finally you need to use your eye lash curler and keep it on for 10-15 seconds.
Finally apply your MAC Mascara; use the voluminous one; even L’Oreal is good for that matter. Don’t forget to put at least 3-4 coats of Mascara before rounding it off since it will be a good for the background of your eyes.
