Beauty Regime for Women

Every woman wants to have a complexion that is envious. Some have by default good genes, which make their complexion radiant while some are not fortunate to have inherited the good genes; for them, if a beauty regime for women is followed, they too can have a dewy radiant complexion.

To follow a good beauty regime, it is imperative that you know what you skin type is. These are the different types of skin.

Normal skin has a smooth texture, even tone and fine pores. It’s a balanced type of skin, which tends to become drier as one grows old.

Oily skin is shiny and is prone to acne, blackheads and open pores. The excess oil is due to overactive sebaceous glands.

Dry skin is sensitive and dull in appearance. Your skin may feel tight once you wash it. It is highly sensitive and may flake or chap easily. Climatic variations affect dry skin adversely.

Combination skin is the most common type of skin. Most people have combination skin with an oily T-zone.

As one ages, whichever type of skin you have, it starts to lose its youthful firmness and lacks tone. It may look dull and fine lines and wrinkles develop, especially around the eyes, however, oily skin takes time for the signs of aging to develop.

Beauty regime for women

Now that you know your skin type, it is easier to take care of your skin. There are 3 steps involved in taking care of your skin.

1. Cleansing: Cleansing is what you should do first thing in the morning and last thing before you go to bed. Use cleansing products like cleansing milk, face washes (soap free) etc to clean your face of all the dirt, grime and impurities to reveal a clean, fresh and soft skin. With the help of a cotton wool or finger tips, apply cleanser using gentle upwards movements and then wash off with water and pat dry.

2. Toning: Toners remove the leftover dirt and even the traces of the cleanser. For oily skin, toners with high alcohol content are advisable. For normal and combination skin, toners with low alcohol content are good. People with dry skin should use alcohol-free toner. Wipe the skin in the upward direction.

3. Moisturizing: No matter what your skin type is, moisturizing your skin is the essential part of the beauty regime for women. Moisturizing twice daily is important to restore and trap the natural moisture balance and protect the skin from external environmental damage like climate, sun and pollution. Applying night cream before you sleep is particularly important for aging skin, as the skin replenishes its lost natural oils and water.

Other than these 3 steps of beauty regime for women, face mask can help to reduce excess oil and improve the skin texture. Face scrubbing is also essential to remove the dead skin to reveal a smoother, cleaner skin.
